Ferry route

At Camping't Boomgaardje you get on your bike. You will soon cross the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal via the Princess Irene locks. Further on you cross the Lek with a ferry , always fun! On the dike you can get a breath of fresh air with a view of the babbling river and flower-rich grasslands. You will see the Limit Pole on the Beusichemsedijk. The centuries-old original disappeared in 1993, a replica was installed in 2001. Just above Culemborg you take another ferry and drive to Schalkwijk Island. Here you will pass Fort Honswijk from 1844. On a car-free road you will drive through the vast polders, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet. You cross the canal again, after which you pass the Wickenburgh country estate, which dates back to 1300.
