Description
During this fantastic cycling tour, discover how this beautiful nature reserve has developed from open water to swamp forest. You will enjoy the varied vegetation and the special plant world. This takes you past advancing bank vegetation and densely growing water to floating areas, reedlands and nutrient-poor grassland.
You also have the chance to meet typical swamp inhabitants such as birds, fish, mammals, reptiles and various insects, such as the unique and protected mosquito-biting hoverfly. The only mosquito in the Netherlands that also bites during the day.
