Description
Start ; Parking lot Heusden Centrum Zuid (free) Vestingstraat Heusden NL. First we pass the restored historic fortified town of Heusden, then take a ferry across the mighty river Maas. Further to Ammersoyen Castle, one of the best preserved moated castles in the Netherlands from 1026. During construction, the castle was in or on the Maas for a long time, but in 1354 changed the course of the river. Much further on this tour we pass Cafe Restaurant Treurenburg, which probably supports this route, between points 96 & 48. This route is an adaptation of cycle route no. 115570.
