Tour of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen from Walcheren

This cycle route starts at Boutique Hotel Charley\\\'s. Walcheren is beautiful, but so is Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, you will discover that with this route. You make a nice tour around one of the most beautiful villages in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen: Groede. In the Second World War there was a large cross on the church tower: Groede was a Red Cross village, or an'open village\\\' during the Battle of the Scheldt. The warring factions received their wounded here. As a result, it was not bombed and it was beautifully preserved. Now it's like a French village square with all those terraces! Along the way you can take the ferry across the Western Scheldt and the nice towns of Breskens, Vlissingen, Dishoek and Zoutelande. A long route, but with enough terraces along the way to take a break!
