Discover Nunspeet and its surroundings

The area around Nunspeet offers a picturesque mix of meadows, hedgerows and old farms. At the end of the nineteenth century, several painters captured farm life around Nunspeet. Many artists still live here. Cycling along the Oude Zeeweg you have a beautiful view of the Veluwemeer. After the storm surge of 1916, it was decided to close the Zuiderzee. For safety reasons, but also because there was a food shortage due to the First World War. With the construction of Flevoland, new agricultural land was recreated. On the Veluwe you drive through old forests, habitat for large game such as red deer, roe deer and wild boar.
