In Westfriesland you can enjoy wide views in a landscape dominated by grasslands, watercourses and bulb fields. You cycle through villages such as Oostwoud and Twisk, where you will see many beautiful thatched farmhouses and ancient churches. From junction 70 you drive along the Westfriese Omringdijk, the only monumental dike in the world. Medemblik is one of the historical gems on your route. Get off here to soak up the atmosphere of a bygone era before cycling a few kilometers along the shore of the IJsselmeer. Further on you will pass corn mill de Hoop from 1889, you will also pass the tower mill de Krijgsman from 1862. Via the picturesque Blokker you will drive to Hoorn, in the outlying area you will pass the seesaw mill de Kerkepolder from 1866. The route ends at Brasserie Café De Werf.
