Meinweg tour via Jägerhof

The Meinweg consists of an extremely rare terraced landscape in the Netherlands with steep transitions between these terraces. The highest point in the area is the Wolfsplateau, approximately 80 meters above sea level. This unique landscape was created over ten thousand years by the erosion of the water of the Maas and Rhine in combination with three fractures in the earth that run through the national park (including the Peelrand Fault). The Meinweg is bisected by two streams, De Rode Beek and De Boschbeek, which carry the water from the plateaus to the Roer.
