When you start in Echt, at
junction 6 on the Gebroekerweg, you go via 24 and 22 respectively to 20. You can also temporarily deviate from the junctions and go straight through to 20.
At 20 there is a cozy resting place, coffee house'Het ijzeren bos\\\'. Cozy, and delicious coffee with pie, or a lunch. It is exactly halfway the route, so a nice place to take a break.
After this, pay attention : on the way to junction 16, something goes wrong in the signage. When you have just crossed the railway line, you immediately go left, instead of straight ahead. You follow the path along the railway line, (see map) and then suddenly see another sign with number 16. (If you go straight ahead as indicated on the signs, you will end up in the middle of the center of Susteren, very unpleasant)
From 16 to number 11, another problem occurs: the route goes along the highway for a short distance, right before it. Because there is no sign at all at the tunnel that runs under the road, you would be inclined to go under it, instead of immediately turning right. It is a bit of a fact, but it is clear on the map.
It is also a very nice route, very varied in terms of landscape and nice and quiet. And, very nice: many benches! We did notice that there are few opportunities to drink coffee or something along the way. The coffee house I mentioned therefore did good business! (Gap in the market..?)
