From here you cycle through the city park Valkenberg, so called because the Nassaus had their falcons hunt here. These ancestors of the royal family lived in the Castle of Breda, which was built in 1353. In the Ulvenhoutse Bos you will find a rich flora, such as old winter oaks and beeches. Then you cycle through the Chaamse Bossen. The sand drifts, wet heathland and fens here are planted with Scots pine. Via Chaam you cycle to the Strijbeekse Heide, along the fens Zwarte Goor and Langven. After the nice village of Ulvenhout you come to the beautiful Markdal. Since 2004 the Mark has meandered here again. You cycle right past reed beds and flowery grasslands while looking out over the rippling water.
