Gardens route

This water-rich area of Friesland has more to offer than just water. This route shows you beautiful nature reserves, gardens and views over the countryside. There are several places along the way where you can stop to enjoy the surroundings or have a snack!!

The start is at VVV Waterland van Friesland in Joure, but you can also start at VVV Waterland van Friesland in Lemmer 51 or in Oudemirdum at the tourist agency Mar & Klif 22. The route is 63.5 km, a great trip for 1 day, but it is also possible to do it in 2 days.
