Description
Your cycling route starts at the Apollo Hotel Amsterdam, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. This beautiful route takes you through the stately Oud-Zuid, where you will see numerous monumental buildings. Cycling along the meandering Amstel is beautiful. Here are Wester-Amstel and Oostermeer, two centuries-old country estates. In Ouderkerk aan de Amstel you see many old buildings, what a nice atmosphere! Then you drive through the Amsterdamse Bos, a combination of recreational and nature reserve that was created in the 1930s. Via the Vondelpark you drive past the Amsterdam Lyceum, which cyclists ride right through thanks to the beautiful arches. This is the oldest high school in the Netherlands, founded in 1917.
