Description
This beautiful route takes you through the stately Oud-Zuid, where you will see many monumental buildings. It is beautiful to cycle along the meandering Amstel. Here you will find Wester-Amstel and Oostermeer, two centuries-old country estates. In Ouderkerk aan de Amstel you will see many old buildings, what a nice atmosphere! Then you cycle through the Amsterdamse Bos, a combination of recreation and nature area that was created in the 1930s. Via the Vondelpark you cycle past the Amsterdam Lyceum, where cyclists cycle right through thanks to the beautiful arches. This is the oldest lyceum in the Netherlands, founded in 1917.
