Description
Your walking route starts at the Apollo Hotel Amsterdam, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. This beautiful route takes you through the stately Old South, where you will see numerous monumental buildings. You can walk along the canals to the Amsterdams Lyceum, where cyclists drive straight through thanks to the beautiful arches. This is the oldest lyceum in the Netherlands, founded in 1917. Stock up on a picnic at one of the many eateries and delicatessens on Amstelveensestraatweg and then stroll to Vondelpark and the luxurious PC Hooftstraat. Then walk back through the cultural heart of Amsterdam: the Museumplein. Here you can also see The Concertgebouw.
