Almere is one of the fastest growing cities in the Netherlands. Since the 1990s, more and more exclusive, eye-catching homes have been built, making Almere a sight to behold.  The Citadel is the heart of the mall. The facades are not all parallel to each other. The New Library is by the architectural firm of Meyer and Van Schooten. Be sure to discover the courtyard! De Smaragd, by Gigon and Guyer Architects, has a different color on each side of the building. On the Willem Dreesweg you pass La Defense, with a beautiful reflection through the special glass.
