From Mol to the woods around Postel

This route takes you from Mol to Postel and back. A varied tour that is characterized by canals, vast forests and Flemish geniality.

Silver Lake
From Mol you will soon be driving on the leafy cycle path along the Dessel-Kwaadmechelen Canal. It's wonderful to pedal, the kilometers seem to pass by themselves as you drive past the rippling water and the beautiful old houses. After crossing the Bocholt-Herentals Canal at Witgoor, you can continue pedaling along a canal that was dug out with a shovel in the mid-nineteenth century in fifteen years!

Postel woods
In the vast forests around Postel, civilization seems far away. Coniferous trees dominate the view. Sometimes there are tufts of heaths or fields, sometimes you suddenly feel some cooling on your arms from a stream that flows next to the cycle path. The landscape carries a rich history of itinerant peddlers and smugglers. Before you cycle back to Mol, get off at Mangerie Weselo near Wezel, located in a beautiful historic building.
