Tour of the Heuvelrug and Regge Route

A beautiful route that introduces you to the diverse landscape around Hellendoorn. You cross the large heathland on the Sallandse Heuvelrug. It's a bit of a climb, but the views are beautiful! You drive through Hellendoorn and the Hellendoornse Bos. In the National Tin Museum you will find a collection of more than 10,000 tins! A nice departure. The Wierdense Veld is a nature reserve with vast heathlands and raised bogs. It can still be old-fashioned quiet here. Especially when you see the flock of sheep passing by, you quickly get the feeling of taking a big leap back in time. You drive back to Nijverdal via Notter: an old hamlet where you can still see some beautiful Saxon farms. Stop off at Restaurant Cafe and Ice Cream Parlor Hancate 2.0 along the way!
