The route starts from TOP Rottemeren, where you can park your car (free).
The centuries-old river Rotte forms the backbone of the Rottemeren recreational area. Due to subsidence and peatification of the area, the Rotte and the Rottemeren are much higher than the surrounding polders. You will find many marinas, restaurants and visual arts here. Along the way you will come across nice places to take a break with a view over the Rotte.
You use Zonnepont't leave at junction 96 (only operates during the cycling season).

A few tips
De Rotte and Zonnepont't Verlaat (shorten route at junction 96)
The peat river Rotte rises near Moerkapelle and flows via the Rottemeren to the city center of Rotterdam. A crossing of the Rotte with the Zonnepont't Verlaat is a nice change from a cycling or walking tour. You can get on, with or without a bicycle, at the Bleiswijkse Verlaat or the Zevenhuizer Zoom. Sailing times: April and Oct.: Sat/Sun 11am - 6pm. May to September: every day from 11am to 6pm. The last departure from the Bleiswijkse Verlaat is at 5:30 PM.
Mill four-way Zevenhuizen
The unique mill corridor in the Tweemanspolder, north of Zevenhuizen,
is the only working mill in the world. Since 1727, these mills have kept the polder dry. The mills can be admired from the mill path along the mills. There are no visiting options. The mills run twice a month, on Saturdays.
Eendragtspolder
The Eendragtspolder is a special rural area thanks to the sustainable combination
of water storage, recreation and the international rowing course Willem-Alexander Baan.
Since spring 2013 you can enjoy peace and quiet, various outdoor sports and stroll through the (wet) nature.
Art in the Hoge Bergse Bos
The work of various visual artists can be admired in the Hoge Bergse Bos. The Artihove craft center with a sculpture garden (open every day) is located on the Hoeksekade. A marked walking route runs through the Hoge Bergse Bos that takes you past various artistic expressions.
