Mallum round trip near Eibergen

Your walking route starts at Hotel De Kastanjefabriek just outside Eibergen. From here, you'll walk through a picturesque area with the Mallumsche Molen, a monumental grain and hulling mill dating from 1748 on the Berkel River, at its heart. It's the only hulling mill in the Netherlands powered by water. On Saturday afternoons, the volunteer miller gives demonstrations. The mill, the lock, the miller's house from 1753, and the moat of the former manor house are four separate national monuments. You'll also see a magnificent, monumental half-timbered barn. A landscape artist has now created a labyrinth on the site of the Mallum manor house. Along the banks of the Berkel, you'll walk to the Berkel Information and Visitor Center. A beautiful, rural loop through the countryside brings you back to your starting point.
