Cycling between Haaksbergen and Delden

In Delden you cycle around the medieval Oude Blasiuskerk. Then you come across the Markt where the former town hall is located. This white building now houses the Salt Museum. You cross the Twente Canal, after which you cycle over quiet paths through a landscape of forests, grasslands and heathlands. Just past Beckum you cycle through the Altena Estate with its beautiful old farms. Further on you discover the Usselerveld and the Buurserzand: two beautiful nature reserves where you can enjoy the fresh air and peace. Haaksbergen is a pleasant old town. Here you can see, among other things, the medieval Sint-Pancratius Church, which was built from Bentheimer sandstone. Through the Twente coulisselandschap you continue to Bentelo. After you have crossed the Twente Canal again, you can have a nice drink on a terrace at Gasterij't Oaldershoes.
