Description

In Delden you drive around the medieval Old Blasius Church. Then you cross the Markt where the former town hall is located. The Salt Museum is now located in this white building. You cross the Twente Canal, after which you drive on quiet paths through a landscape of woods, grasslands and heaths. Just past Beckum you cycle through Landgoed Altena with its beautiful old farms. Further on you will discover the Usselerveld and the Buurserzand: two beautiful nature reserves where you can enjoy the fresh air and tranquility. Haaksbergen is a cozy old town. You can see here, among other things, the medieval St. Pancratius Church, which is built of Bentheimer sandstone. You continue to Bentelo through the bocage landscape of Twente. After crossing the Twente Canal again, you can enjoy a cozy terrace at Gasterij't Oaldershoes.
