Tour of Oldambt: Midwolda and Ennemaborg

After an overnight stay at B&B miniCamping Blauwestadhoeve, put on your hiking boots. With its wealth of nature and culture, the Groningen region of the Oldambt is an ideal hiking region. First you walk along the Ennemaborgh, the history of this country house goes back to the fourteenth century. Of the 200 borgen (noble country houses) in Groningen, only 16 have been preserved. The Ennemaborgh is used as a studio and residence by the painter Maya Wildevuur. Her colorful paintings are a feast for the eyes. In the beautiful Midwolda you can admire, among other things, a hall church with a beautiful spire from 1738. On the roof are four spires, they refer to the four towers of the old, demolished church. You will also see a few former small farms and gentlemen's farms on the Hoofdweg.
