Along the sea and through the polders; discover Zeeland

Cycling through Westkapelle, the village feels young. During WWII it was badly hit by a bombardment and almost completely wiped off the map. In 2015, there is still a creek in Westkapelle, which was created as a result of the bombing. You start on the coast at Zoutelande. You cycle along the coast to Westkapelle, where you pass the Low lighthouse of Westkapelle. Because Westkapelle has two lighthouses and the other one sends a higher light signal, this is called the “Westkapelle Low”. Stop at Het Polderhuis, museums & more for a museum visit! In Oostkapelle you can take a break at Frieterie De Bostent while enjoying artisanal fries and a tasty snack. Inland you can enjoy the peace and quiet and the Zeeland landscape.
