Your cycle route starts at Tea House MON Chouette. Leusden offers you the best of both worlds. The charming town is located in the transition area of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and the Gelderse Vallei. You first cycle into the green of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. In the vast forests, deciduous and coniferous trees grow together. It is wonderfully quiet here, an oasis of peace that is only disturbed by chirping birds or laughing woodpeckers. A little later you cycle through the centuries-old estate Den Treek. Here you see one of the most beautiful country estates that Leusden has to offer: Huize Den Treek, a former farm that was already mentioned in 1337. On the way back to Leusden you cycle along the beautiful Valleikanaal, a waterway that formed an important part of the Grebbelinie.
