Due to its size and wet character, this nature reserve is unique in Europe. You will see heathlands with hundred-year-old juniper berries, forests, small fields and some orchid meadows. What makes this area extra nice is the silence you find here! Further on you cycle through another unique nature reserve: the Witte Veen. Here dirt roads, oak avenues, heath, forest, peat and water constantly alternate. You feel like you're in a bygone era here. It will not surprise you that the Witte Veen was a popular area for smugglers for centuries. Via Buurse you cycle back to Boerderijcamping De Beek. Here you can continue to enjoy your holiday.
