Due to the reconstruction of the Afsluitdijk, it will be closed to cyclists until 2022. You must therefore adjust the last two routes. The Evacue is a multi-day'pilgrimage\\\' in memory of the hunger journeys and the necessary shelter of thousands of evacuees in Friesland during the Hunger Winter in World War II. The tour goes from Amsterdam Central via Monnickendam, Volendam and Hoorn towards Enkhuizen. Then take the'Bep Glasius\\\' ferry to Stavoren. From Stavoren'De Evacue\\\' takes you, in memory of the hunger trips,'zigzagging\\\' through National Landscape Southwest Friesland to the'Afsluitdijk\\\'. The dike that saved many in \\'44/\\'45. The tour then leads through North Holland back to Amsterdam Central.
