Kennemer dunes (NS route)

Starting point: Santpoort-North station. End point: Overveen station or Zandvoort station The route meanders through the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park, consisting of dunes, estates and beach. You walk across the estates Duin- en Kruidberg and Midden Herenduin in the direction of Kennemerduinen and the beach. At Parnassia you can choose from two routes: across the beach to Zandvoort station (15 km) or via the Kennemer dunes to Overveen station (16 km). In the latter case, forest, thicket and dune grass alternate. Large differences in height occur at a short distance. The view from De Hazenberg is beautiful. At Overveen you can visit the dune center (closed on Mondays). Length: 15 or 16 kilometers. Dogs: not allowed
