Cycling route: 184739
Provided by: Groots Genieten
This tour takes you through Gulpen and the beautiful Geuldal. In the Heuvelland you cycle through a landscape of wooded slopes and lovely stream valleys that are dotted with flowery meadows and fields. In the many old villages you can still see plenty of half-timbered houses, chapels and wayside crosses. It is wonderfully quiet in this region, especially if you cycle in the border area with Belgium. You cycle past the Sinnich Abbey, whose origins date back to the thirteenth century. The Geuldal is beautiful, especially around Epen. You see two nineteenth-century water mills here: the Volmolen and the Bovenste Molen. In beautiful Gulpen you see the striking detached thirteenth-century church tower. In Margraten you can admire the Sint-Margaritakerk, a characteristic marl church.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
