Cycling in the area of Soest

This route takes you along the edge of the extensive forests on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. You will also drive a bit through Amersfoort-Zuid, one of the oldest, greenest and most prosperous parts of the city. The Leusderweg that you drive on is the nicest shopping street in Amersfoort-Zuid. You start at Van der Valk Hotel De Bilt - Utrecht and from there you explore the area. On the Utrechtse Heuvelrug you drive through a varied environment full of centuries-old deciduous forests, heathlands and drifting dunes. Over the centuries, many estates have been built in this area with associated castles and villas. This has given the already beautiful landscape an extra grandeur.
