Cycling in the area around Soest

This route takes you along the edge of the vast forests on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. You also drive a bit through Amersfoort-Zuid, one of the oldest, greenest and most prosperous parts of the city. The Leusderweg you drive on, is the most pleasant shopping street in Amersfoort-Zuid. You start at Van der Valk Hotel De Bilt - Utrecht and from there you explore the area. On the Utrechtse Heuvelrug you drive through a varied environment full of centuries-old deciduous forests, heathlands and drifting dunes. In this area, many estates have been built over the centuries with accompanying castles and villas. This has given the already beautiful landscape an extra grandeur.
