Description
This route takes you for a walk through one of the most beautiful dune areas in Europe: the Schoorlse Duinen. A century ago it was still one big sandbox here. Thanks to Staatsbosbeheer, the area now consists of a mix of open drifting dunes, wet plains, dense forests and even heaths. The Schoorlse Duinen is the widest dune area in the Netherlands. You will also find the highest dune tops in the Netherlands here. Ideal to immerse yourself in a unique landscape: it is not for nothing that there are more than 60 kilometers of hiking trails here! This area is always beautiful no matter what season you are there.
