Description
Cycling through South Limburg guarantees a nice long day.
You drive through a landscape of wooded slopes, flowery meadows and the romantic Geuldal.
Sometimes it is quite a climb, but at the top of the slopes you can enjoy almost un-Dutch views of the beautiful surroundings. In this history-rich region you will see many old half-timbered farms, square farms, but of course also impressive castles. For example, on the Geul you will come across three centuries-old castles: East Castle and Schaloen Castle may have received a makeover, but they date from the fourteenth century. The history of Genhoes Castle is said to date back to the eleventh century.
