Description
Cycling through South Limburg guarantees a beautiful long day. You cycle through a landscape of wooded slopes, flowery meadows and the romantic Geuldal.
Sometimes it is quite a climb, but at the top of the slopes you can enjoy almost un-Dutch views of the beautiful surroundings. In this historical region you will see many old half-timbered farms, square farms, but of course also impressive castles. For example, on the Geul you will come across three centuries-old castles: Kasteel Oost and Kasteel Schaloen may have had a makeover, they date from the fourteenth century. The history of Kasteel Genhoes is even said to go back to the eleventh century.
