Enjoy cycling at the Loonse and Drunense Dunes

The Loonse & Drunense Duinen National Park is no less than 3500 hectares in size. Ideal for exploring at your leisure by bike. The first few kilometres you cycle through a mix of forest and meadows. In the middle of nature you suddenly find yourself in Giersbergen. In this beautiful hamlet you see many monumental thatched farms, so that it seems as if you have taken a leap back in time. Then you cycle back into the forests. Take a deep breath and inhale that lovely fresh forest air. You will pass a number of heathlands, you will also see the drifting sands that give this national park its nickname of Brabant Sahara. The route ends at the Rustende Jager, on the cosy terrace at the edge of the forest you can enjoy a drink and a snack.
