The Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park is known for its natural beauty and many monumental country houses. An ideal cycling region. From Maarn you can cycle straight into the Kaapse Bossen. You pass Poorthuis Ruiterberg from 1917, a little later you cycle through the Kromme Rijnstreek with its vast grasslands and orchards. In Cothen you can take a look at Kasteel Rhijnestein, further on you come through the picturesque Werkhoven. While you see the Utrechtse Heuvelrug rising on the horizon, you pass Huize Leeuwenburgh from 1657. You cycle to Landgoed Den Treek, a beautiful place on the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Via Woudenberg you cycle back to Maarn.
