Hiking in Loon op Zand, North Brabant, The Netherlands
Hiking route 183128
Provided by: Brabantse Natuurpoorten
De Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park is an extensive walking area. Ideal for a day of relaxation. Because the nature types in this park differ so much from each other, the diversity of flora and fauna is great. For example, you walk through the 'Brabant Sahara': nowhere else in Europe you will find such a large area with living drifting sand! A unique experience. The large coniferous forests are also worth a visit. You can enjoy the peace and the fresh air here on winding sandy paths. In between you also walk over some heaths. When the heather is in bloom in autumn, it looks like a purple sea! Nature gate Van Loon is the end of your hike. You can go here for a refreshing thirst quencher, a tasty meal and a comfortable overnight stay.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
