Start, highlight 1: The Port of Zandvoort

The beach pavilion is open from 10 am. Highly recommended is the Royal Breakfast! The breakfast for a good start of a nice bike ride.
Route: Walk past Holland Casino Zandvoort to the Burg. Engelbertsstraat where you turn right, towards the water tower. At the water tower, turn right at the roundabout (2nd exit), onto the Hoge Weg. The High Road turns into the Dr. CA Gerkestraat, you follow the cycle path on the right side of the road. At the intersection, turn left, towards the roundabout.
Go straight on at the roundabout (2nd exit), into the Kostverlorenstraat. Here you take the second street to the right (after a number of bends), onto the Sophiaweg. You cycle towards the railway. Turn right before the railway onto the Visserspad. At the viaduct, turn left, pass under the railway, and then immediately turn right again. Follow the cycle path through the dunes, the Duinpieperpad. You are now cycling through Kraansvlak. In this area you have a chance to encounter wisents, the European bison. Turn right at junction 18, turn right onto the Zeeweg. Turn right at the sign Restaurant De Bokkedoorns, which can be seen on your right.

Restaurant De Bokkedoorns: top culinary sport in the dunes. Awarded 2 Michelin stars. A wonderful place for lunch, prepared by the best chefs in the Netherlands. Open from noon.
Route: From De Bokkedoorns you go back to the Zeeweg and turn right there. After about 2 km you will find the visitor center of the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park on your left.

Interesting visitor center with lots of information about flora and fauna. The dune café with terrace invites you to a pleasant stay. You will find specialties such as sandwiches, apple pie, pancakes and various specialty beers.
Route: From the visitor center you cycle a short distance back in the direction from which you came. At junction 19 turn left. You cycle towards node 21 and from there to node 36. Here you will find the famous pub Kraantje Lek.

Open from. 11am. Closed on Wednesday. Specialties here include game croquettes with cranberries, forest mushroom soup and the famous pistolet game pâté. Did you know that the originally Flemish painter Frans Hals was already a welcome guest here?
Route: From Kraantje Lek you cycle through the dunes via the Visserspad to Zandvoort. You then go via junction 37 via junction 77 to junction 79, right in the center of Zandvoort. At the roundabout with the music dome, go straight ahead, this is a pedestrian zone. On your right you will find Café Koper.
