Wander through beautiful South Limburg

The South Limburg Heuvellland still exudes the slower pace of times gone by. Sometimes it is quite a climb, but at the top of the slope you have an almost un-Dutch view of the beautiful surroundings.

Industrial heritage
This route takes you through the hills of South Limburg. Here you drive through an idyllic landscape of wooded slopes, orchards, grasslands and river and stream valleys. There are benches at many places along the route to rest and take in the natural beauty. Also discover the industrial heritage and take a look at the station of the South Limburg Steam Train Company and the Steenkolenmijn in Valkenburg.

National Landscape
The Limburgse Heuvelland not only guarantees natural beauty, but also a rich cultural history. Due to the high landscape value of the area, the Heuvelland was designated a National Landscape by the government in 2005. Given their historic core, several places have a protected village or cityscape, such as Valkenburg and Lemiers. You will see many historic half-timbered houses and monumental square farms on this route. Back at your starting point, Brasserie Amuseer, you can eat or drink something to finish.
