Tour of Cadier en Keer, Genhoes Castle and Wylre

Explore the hills of South Limburg with wooded slopes, meadows, river valleys, historic half-timbered houses and monumental square farms. You pass through pleasant villages such as Valkenburg, Schin op Geul, Gulpen and Houthem. Sometimes it is quite a climb, but at the top of the slope you have an almost un-Dutch view of the beautiful surroundings. On this route you will pass all kinds of monumental castles and country houses. First, Wylre Castle, the starting point of your route. Around 1040 there was already a castle within the moat. The current mansion was built around 1652. Genhoes Castle is also beautiful. The beautiful location in the Geul Valley also makes a big difference.
