Description

With this tour you will discover the Flemish Ardennes. In this region you can still experience the Flemish peace and conviviality. You drive through a rolling landscape where open fields, fields and swamp forests alternate. You also cycle a few kilometers through the idyllic Dender valley. And of course you also visit Geraardsbergen, the beautiful old town known for its three M\\\'s: Manneken Pis, De Muur and Mattentaart. The Manneken Pis from Geraardsbergen is no less than 160 years older than the famous little guy in Brussels. The current statue dates from 1985, the original from 1495 has been lost. The Wall needs no introduction for cycling enthusiasts: the slope is a monument in Flemish cycling history that you simply must have ridden once. If you want to refuel after the climb, there are plenty of cozy terraces to choose from. Then be sure to order a piece of Matt's cake, a local delicacy whose history dates back to the Middle Ages.
