Your route starts on the Kalmthoutse Heide, at the De Vroente Nature Education Centre. While you're there, pop into the Beekeeping Museum! A little later, you'll find yourself in the heart of one of Belgium's natural gems: the expansive Kalmthoutse Heide. Take your time and soak up the tranquility and stunning views. Further on, stop off at Brasserie De Bosrust! The boundless Belgian-Dutch countryside stretches out all around you. You'll continue cycling through the De Maatjes Nature Reserve, a cross-border marshland reed landscape. Here you'll find the 7-meter-high observation tower "de Klot," which refers to a clump (or ball) of peat or turf. Peat was extracted here on a large scale between 1250 and 1750. Just before the end of the route, you can visit the Suske en Wiske Children's Museum.
