A day of cycling through nature from Amsterdam? From Amsterdam-South you can drive straight into the Amsterdamse Bos and the polders around Vinkeveen. You will find peace, space and beautiful old buildings here.
Amsterdam forest
From the parking lot near the RAI harbor you first drive through the beautiful Apollobuurt. Here you see many houses that were built around 1920 in the style of the Amsterdam School. Further on you drive through the Amsterdamse Bos. The beautiful water features, bridges and narrow winding paths have created a special forest here where it is nice to cycle. A little later you drive into the polder. What a wideness all of a sudden!
Amstel
It is nice and quiet to cycle along the dike along the Amstel and Waver. On the Baambrugse Zuwe you drive through the Vinkeveense Plassen. This street is also called the Millionaire Mile because of the many villas. In Baambrugge you see many monumental buildings. Via the picturesque Ouderkerk aan de Amstel you drive along the Amstel back to Amsterdam.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
