Your route starts at Café-Restaurant De Gouden Leeuw. Here you have a beautiful view of the impressive Van Brienenoord Bridge. The bridge is more than half a century old and consists of two adjacent arch bridges. It is the busiest bridge in the Netherlands! You drive to Barendrecht via Ridderkerk and Oostendam. Just outside Barendrecht you drive through the polder. The Zandweg is a corn mill from 1723. Further on you drive through the picturesque old village center of Charlois, a well-known Rotterdam district. Along the Maas you experience the refreshing vibe of Rotterdam. You drive over the Erasmus Bridge, on the Kop van Zuid you see Rotterdam: three gigantic towers by architect Rem Koolhaas. On the dike near the Maas you pass Huys Ten Donck: a country estate from 1746.
