Tour of Haaksbergen and Het Lankheet

This walking route starts at Camping Scholtenhagen. After a beautiful passage through Haaksbergen, this walk introduces you to the Het Lankheet estate near Haaksbergen, where you can experience the changes in the countryside up close. The history of this estate goes back 800 years, but they also look ahead - well into the 21st century. There are various contemporary landscape projects on display in the areas of water purification, energy extraction, multifunctional climate forests, timber cultivation, youth education and youth care, art and theater. There is a Water Park and at the wood yard at the Botterkolk, pine and hardwood wood is watered, sawn, dried and processed in a traditional way. Jumping over the water from one large stone to another, through tunnels, over bridges, past works of art and ditches - there is a lot to discover here!
