From Santpoort-Zuid you can take a nice walk. You will see plenty of natural beauty, but also beautiful monumental buildings. First you walk to the Burgemeester Rijkenspark, a former estate designed by landscape architect Jan David Zocher. On the edge of the park you pass a chalet from 1839, built in Swiss style. Further on is De Zandhaas, a flour mill from 1714. Via the estate you make a shortcut to the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park. Here it is beautiful to walk through the dune forest that is part of the Duin en Kruidberg Estate. Further on you climb the Brederodeberg. This hill is 45 meters above sea level and is the highest point in the national park. You walk back to Brasserie de Boemel through a leafy residential area. Time for a refreshing snack and drink.
