Hilversum, city in the green

Hilversum is of course mainly known for its celebrities and villas. You may even see a celebrity as the tour takes you through the broadcasting city. Furthermore, you cycle almost continuously through the beautiful and varied nature that surrounds Hilversum. The tour starts in the Loosdrechtse Plassen where you can enjoy panoramic views and the many water and meadow birds. Southeast of the city you drive onto the heathland of the Loosdrechtse Bos. This forest turns into Boswachterij De Vuursche where deciduous and coniferous trees alternate. A little later you drive almost unnoticed into the vast Goois Nature Reserve. The view opens up again when you cycle across the Westerheide and Zuiderheide. In the southern part of the Bussumerheide you can see heathland fens that were previously used to wash the flocks of sheep. You enter the Spanderwoud via the Zanderij Crailo Nature Bridge, the largest ecoduct in the world with a length of 800 meters and a width of 50 metres.
