The Loosdrechtse Plassen form a unique nature reserve. It consists of several waters separated by dikes and islands. During your trip along the lakes you have a beautiful view of this idyllic area. The old peat pattern is still recognizable in the marsh of the Tienhovense Plassen. You will see special plants here, but also rare meadow, water and marsh birds. Along the fairytale banks of the Vecht you will pass majestic mansions from the Golden Age. Also worth a visit is the green village of Haarzuilens through which you cycle. This village was rebuilt at a new location in the early twentieth century and was largely designed by architect Pierre Cuypers. Since then, the appearance of this protected village has hardly changed.
