Nature tour: Keersop and Grootgoor

This route takes you through the Brabantse Kempen west of Eindhoven. You make a big round where you visit towns such as Eersel, Bergeijk and Loveren. You cycle through vast forests and heaths, but also past authentic Kempen long-gabled farms. Between Waalre and Dommelen you drive through the valleys of the Dommel and the Keersop, a branch of the Dommel. In this stream landscape you see wooded banks, heaths and pools. Due to the winding bed, the flow rate in these streams varies, which is good for the natural variation. The kingfisher and yellowhammer live in this area, you can even see hay meadows with orchids.
