Hattem outside

Hattem has a small, but cozy city center, where with some imagination you can see the cannons and soldiers with halberds still standing on the city walls to keep the enemy outside the walls. The town is a stone's throw from the deciduous and seam forests of the Molencaten estate and the floodplains on the Homoet. You can walk right there! The tour starts at Vadesto Outdoor Adventure. You walk in a southerly direction, out of the built-up area of Hattem, with Molecaten windmill as your destination. The water mill belongs to the estate of house Molecaten and still runs regularly, although it is short of water. The mill has had several functions. For example, it was used as a flour mill, but it was later also used to generate electricity for the spacious villa on the estate.
