Description
This route takes you through the green belt around Zwolle. First you cycle along the wooded Agnietenberg: a river dune dating from the ice age. In Langenholte you see some beautiful farms at the Brink. Then you cycle through a landscape of grasslands, forests, eddies and reed beds. You cross the river Zwarte Water, further on you cycle a long way along the floodplains of the IJssel. From the dike you have a beautiful view over the rippling water. At junction 11 lies Huis te Windesheim, a manor house that originally dates from 1600. The country house was lost in a bombing raid in 1944.
