About the heaths of the Veluwe

Explore the various heathlands that together (among other things) form the Veluwe. The Harskampse Zand, the Ugchelse bos, the Hoenderlose Bos and the Otterlose Zand are just a few of the various nature reserves that allow you to enjoy a beautiful bike ride. Special is the sheepfold that you encounter in Hoog Buurlo. Two cages stand on the edge of the vast Hoog Buurlose heath. Time seems to have stood still here; a herd of Veluwe heath sheep is still sheltered at night in the sheepfold. The environment also contributes to the authentic feeling: surrounded by fields with wild banks and stately beech avenues that are flanked by oak and beech forests, the hamlet of Hoog Buurlo is a rolling jewel of the Veluwe!
