Pancake route Zeewolde

The route starts from the center and takes you to an enchanting location. To the Pannenkoekenhuis & Playpark Hans en Grietje in the outskirts of Zeewolde (Sternweg 2a). A location that you must visit and experience!

The Flevopolder may be a relatively young area, but nature has already reached its full maturity. This route will lead you through the Horsterwold, the largest deciduous wood forest in the Netherlands. The oldest trees here are about 50 years old, yet it seems as if they have been there for hundreds of years. The sea clay on which the trees grow is particularly fertile.

At the Wolderwijd (Randmeer) you have a beautiful view over the polder, the water and the green wall of the woods. In the Wolderwijd are a number of  artificial islands, of which De Zegge and De Biezen are the largest. A beautiful Tulip Island has also been constructed. The name Wolderwijd was invented by writer Godfried Bomans, just like the nearby Nuldernauw. Het Harderbroek is a green oasis on the banks of Lake Veluwe. The first poplars were planted here in 1968. Natuurmonumenten creates new and varied primeval nature in this area.
