Past the mills on the Brabantse Wal: south

There are also many windmills and other beautiful places on the southeastern side of Bergen op Zoom. Also take some time for Bergen op Zoom itself; the historic center is a great place to take a break and experience some culture. When the weather is nice, the terrace on the Binnenschelde is also highly recommended for a break. Here you can enjoy a snack and a drink in the sun and out of the wind.

This southern loop is wooded and the estates add a very special atmosphere to the route. The villages you pass along the way are a great stop for a visit to a museum or attraction or for something tasty on the terrace.

Mill De Twee Vrienden and Molen Johanna are definitely worth getting off. With this route you will also discover Lievensberg, an old estate consisting of sand drifts, heath gardens and pine forests. The starting point to discover nature, relax or be active outside. In addition to hiking and mountain bike routes, you can swing and swing in the climbing forest. And the catering establishments around the estate offer something for everyone!
