Tour of Raalte and the Salland nature

This route takes you from Lorkeers Brood banket - Lunchroom through the Salland coulisselandschap and through the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park. Cycling along car-free roads you will see many authentic farms and have beautiful views over fields and meadows. After a while you will enter the forests. Take a deep breath and enjoy the fresh air. You will pass Buitencentrum Sallandse Heuvelrug, where you will learn more about the national park. You will also cycle across the vast heathland that forms the heart of this nature reserve. Get off your bike to enjoy the view and the silence. A small, endangered population of black grouse still lives on the heath. You will cycle along the leafy canal at your leisure to Raalte, a pleasant and beautiful town.
