Tour of Raalte and the Salland nature

This route takes you from Lorkeers Brood banquet - Lunchroom through the Salland bocage landscape and through the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park. Cycling along car-free roads you will see many authentic farms and you will have beautiful views over fields and meadows. After a while you drive into the woods. Take a deep breath and enjoy the fresh air. You pass Buitencentrum Sallandse Heuvelrug, here you will learn more about the national park. You also drive across the vast heathland that forms the heart of this nature reserve. Step off for a moment to enjoy the view and the silence. A small, endangered population of black grouse still lives on the heath. You can cycle leisurely along the leafy canal to Raalte, a cozy and beautiful town.
