The beautiful polders of North Holland

Just behind the North Holland coast it is wonderful to cycle through the wide polders. There is a lot of cultural history to experience here. You soon cross the Noordhollandsch Kanaal via one of the five remaining raft bridges in the Netherlands. You then cycle over the monumental West Frisian Omringdijk. You have a beautiful view over the meadows and characteristic farmhouses. In Schoorl you pass the Molen Kijkduin from 1772. Further on you cycle past the old White Church in Groet, after which you cycle through the Harger and Pettemerpolder. How wonderfully quiet it is here! The last kilometers you drive along the bulb fields in the Zijpepolder.
